DESIGN IN THE WILD: A THESIS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN
My BFA thesis at PennWest Edinboro included a short booklet and a series of three postcard designs/illustrations. I researched and studied the benefits of traveling or changing environment in the context of graphic design, and described how inspiration found out in the world can inspire an artist’s work. I applied this research to my own work by designing a typeface based on signage I saw in Italy, which is used in headings throughout the booklet, as well as designing each postcard based off of the aesthetic of that particular place. For the postcards, I created three illustrations in Procreate.
